The
total chlorine sensor recently introduced by Endress+Hauser, Inc. uses membrane
amperometric two-electrode sensor technology to continuously measure:
-
bound chlorine (chloramines)
-
free chlorine (Cl2 (dissolved), HOCl, OCL-)
-
organic-bound chlorine (e.g. cyanuric acid
derivates)
Since chemical
reagents are not used, this system is easier and less costly to operate. No need
for shipping, storing and handling of chemicals beyond sensor electrolyte. |

The total chlorine sensor
CCS120 is optimized for a measuring range of 0.1 ... 10 mg/l. Temperature
compensation with widely accepted sensor NTC 10K.
Total chlorine measurement is used for:
-
Wastewater: to monitor chlorination +
dechlorination
-
Drinking water treatment and quality
-
Food/beverage cleaning + sanitization + water
prep
-
Service water conditioning
-
Spa/pool/water park water monitoring
Measure in
process stream and contact tanks. E+H and Durable Controls offer a wide variety
of flow through, slip stream and immersion mounting assemblies. As a supplier of
pumps, flow switches, fittings, tubing and valves, Durable Controls is ready
to help you design and implement custom measurement solutions. “Intelligent”
retrofits will reduce installed cost.
Compatible electronics to provide display, set up
and diagnostics, auto cleaning, NEMA 4X or ¼ DIN panel mount.
Power: 24 Volt AC/DC, 115/230 Volt AC, optional
relays for control and alarm.
Output
options: 4-20mA, Profibus, HART (including temperature at the measuring point,
as additional 4-20mA or digital).
