Sludge level measurement can be challenging.If the tank is not stirred, the surface tends
to dry out and be difficult for ultrasonic sensors to "see". Radar sees
through the dry top layer and reflects well from the wet layer below.
6GHz radar provides the most reliable return
with sludge surface conditions and possible condensation on cold days.
Rod antenna has a larger signal footprint that
works better for sludge applications.
