A: Angle Connected
Switch
Switch
configuration is as shown with a bulkhead angle connector. This
allows the switch to be mounted through the side wall of a tank up to
1/2" thick. The fitting seals with an o-ring through a
13/32" clearance hole. The switch may be close mounted or
extended down with a nipple. |

| The
following four styles have a 1-1/4" NPT mounting fitting. This
fitting will allow the level switch assemblies to be inserted into a tank
through a standard 1-1/4" fitting or bung on a tank. This
fitting has a snap-off cover that is sealed with an o-ring and can be used
to make wire terminations, accept a cord grip, DIN style connector or
cable assembly.
Note: When
specifying level settings on multiple switch units, nipple lengths should
be no closer than 3" to each other for outside/in
installations. Also note that a top switch without a nipple or
connector will interfere with the threads on a 1-1/4"
installation. It is best to consider a 2" NPT adapter for these
applications.
The approximate minimum distance
from the fitting to the first level is 3". Nipple lengths are in
1" increments. When calculating nipple lengths, add approximately
1-1/4" to determine the level at which the switch will activate.
(Subtract 1-1/4" from the desired switching point to determine the
nipple length and round to the nearest 1" increment.) |
